Third annual Illinois Local Holiday Market attracts 70 local independent businesses from the state on Small Business Saturday.
The third annual Illinois Local Holiday Market on Saturday, November 25, will feature 70 local independent businesses in Illinois on National Small Business Saturday.
An official American Express Shop Small 2023 Neighborhood Champion, the Holiday Market highlights the importance of supporting small businesses during the holidays.
The market is in the Exposition Building at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield from 9 am to 4 pm.
Illinois Local is a membership of 200-plus businesses and causes across the state launched in December 2020 by Chris and Gemma Long.
“We are so excited to support small local and independent businesses from across Illinois again,” said Gemma. “We will have 70 vendors offering everything from food and drink to toys and clothes for the whole family.”
“We expect thousands of visitors to the market, so it is a great opportunity for small businesses to attract new customers and get a great on holiday sales.”
In addition to vendors, the market will have Santa from 10 am to 3pm, Bluey, gift wrapping by Rotary Club of Springfield South, excerpts of The Nutcracker ballet by Springfield Youth Performance Group, performances by Dayna’s Dance Revolution, an American Business Club Amtryke giveaway and make and takes by Kidzeum and the Children's Heart Foundation.
“The purpose of the market is to support small businesses from across Illinois,” said Chris. We cannot wait to see everyone and celebrate the holidays together.”
Vendor registration will close at midnight on Friday, November 17.
Entry to the Illinois Local Holiday Market is FREE to 12 and under. $3 for 13 and over. The market is supported by Illinois Small Business Development Center for Central Illinois and AlignLife of Springfield Chiropractic and Natural Health Center.
