SYPG will Rock the Conservatory on September 13
Springfield Youth Performance Group (SYPG) will Rock the Conservatory on Saturday, September 13, to kick off the Foundation's 20th anniversary year.
Rock the Conservatory is a fusion of live music and dance featuring SYPG's Company members and a rock band, which includes musicians from across the US.
"This immersive experience also includes visual arts with an artist painting in the lobby, along with a preshow performance by local band Dr. Dr," said the executive director, Taryn Grant.
The live show is at The Grant Conservatory of Music and Dance at 8 pm. Doors open at 7 pm. General admission is $30 at sypgfoundation.org.
Rock the Conservatory is sponsored by Landmark Automotive Group.
SYPG was founded in 2005 as a non-profit dedicated to enriching the lives of children through the performing arts. SYPG's mission is to encourage and cultivate the artistically talented youth in our community by allowing them to perform, thereby enhancing community awareness and appreciation of the performing arts. SYPG works toward this purpose by targeting excellence in stage performances, arts education, and youth-centered programming that professional artists facilitate.
