What inspired you to launch your business?

I started embroidery to add some personal touches to my home decor. I mostly stitched for myself, until a friend asked if I could embroider her children's names onto sweatshirts. I posted a picture of the finished product on Facebook, and I was blown away by the requests to make more. I was thrilled to find a way to share my love of hand-stitching with so many others.

What is your passion?

My passion is creating custom hand-stitched pieces that will be a part of important memories for you and your family, and which can be saved as heirloom pieces for years to come.

How do you start your day?

With three kiddos and my job as a nurse, I start my day bright and early with coffee, breakfast, and the school run. Most of my stitching happens while watching after-school activities or after bedtime.

Favorite local businesses?

Some of our favorites include Three Twigs Bakery for all the vegan and gluten-free goodies, Custom Cup for the amazing Garden Gnome lattes, Just the Basics mobile bar for mom night drinks, and Little Lincoln's Toy Shop for the best birthday gifts.

What do you deem as success in business?

For me, success includes doing what I love, connecting with other passionate people, and always being present for my family.

What is your number one piece of advice for business owners?

Just like every piece of embroidery is unique, every business has their own way to build a brand. Find your community, let your passion shine through, and the rest will come in time.
