Compass for Kids Celebrates 10 Years with Back-to-School Brunch Fundraiser

Illinois Local member Compass for Kids will celebrate 10 years as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit with its annual Back to School Brunch Fundraiser next month at Erin's Pavilion in Southwind Park.

The event will raise funds to support Compass for Kids' schoolyear and summer programming, which provides local children with academic support, mentoring, enrichment opportunities, and life skills designed to help them succeed in school and beyond.

Guests will enjoy a brunch buffet, a cash bar featuring mimosas and Bloody Marys, shopping in the Compass Marketplace, networking, a silent auction, and an interactive activity for guests to gain further insight into the enrichment opportunities Compass students participate in throughout the year.

"This event is a celebration of the thousands of children, families, volunteers, donors, and community partners who have made the last 10 years possible," said Brandy Apgar, Compass for Kids Senior Donor Relations Manager. "Every ticket purchased helps us continue providing students with the encouragement, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive. We hope the community will join us as we celebrate this milestone and invest in the next generation."

The Back-to-School Brunch is Compass for Kids' signature fundraising event, bringing together supporters from across central Illinois while raising vital funds to ensure children continue to have access to the organization's programs throughout the school year and summer.

The event is at Erin's Pavilion, Southwind Park, 4965 S. 2nd St., Springfield, from 10am to 12:30pm on September 19.
