What inspired you to launch your business?

I love creating things, and it was even more exciting when I realized other people liked the items I was creating as well. It started fun for me and my husband to do together and then turned into a full-on business.

What is your passion?

That’s a fully loaded question. My passion is to oversee my time and my life. To have somewhat flexibility and spend time with the people I love.

How do you start your day?

I wake up, I get ready, I wake my son up, and then I normally finish the candles I poured the night before, by trimming the wicks and labeling them. I make a list of things I need to get done for the day, take him to school and start tackling that list.

Favorite local businesses?

That’s a tough one. We have so many awesome ones to choose from. I love Down to Earth Sustainable in Taylorville, The Rooted Home in Farmersville, all the cute shops on the square in Jacksonville, and so, so many more.

What do you deem as success in business?

Happiness. Hands down. Someone who truly loves what they do and is happy doing it. If you can manage to have that and make a living, that’s success.

What is your number one piece of advice for business owners?

Support other business owners. Build each other up, make friends with everyone, help each other out, support one another, it does make a difference.
