Thanksgiving Comes Early: AlignLife of Springfield Chiropractic Launches "Thanksgiving in July" Food Drive to Benefit Inner City Mission
SPRINGFIELD, Illinois. – AlignLife of Springfield Chiropractic & Natural Health Center is inviting the Springfield community to help fight hunger this summer by supporting its annual Thanksgiving in July Food Drive, running from July 1 through July 31.
AlignLife has set a goal of collecting 1,500 non-perishable food items to benefit Inner City Mission, a Springfield nonprofit that provides shelter, meals, and support services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and hardship.
Inner City Mission currently provides housing for 30 to 40 individuals daily, including children and single mothers. The organization has an ongoing need for shelf-stable snack items for children and pantry staples that can be used to prepare daily meals for residents.
To encourage community participation, AlignLife is offering new patients who schedule an appointment and donate four or more non-perishable food items will receive a complimentary first visit, including:
· Consultation
· Comprehensive chiropractic examination
· Digital X-rays (if clinically indicated)
· Foundational foot scan
Community members who do not require an appointment are also encouraged to support the drive by simply dropping off food donations at AlignLife during business hours.

The food drive comes at a critical time, when charitable food donations often decline during the summer months while demand for assistance remains high.

Wednesday: 9:30am to 12pm and 1pm to 6pm
Thursday: 12pm to 6pm
Friday: 7am to 1pm
