Smart Owl Coffee Launches 2026 “Give a Hoot” Program Benefiting Refuge Ranch

Smart Owl Coffee has officially launched its 2026 Give a Hoot Program, announcing Refuge Ranch as this year’s community partner.

The partnership kicked off at Refuge Ranch’s Annual Pancake Breakfast at the beginning of the month, where Smart Owl Coffee served coffee to attendees. The event raised more than $7,000 to advance Refuge Ranch’s mission.

Later this month, Smart Owl Coffee will launch its new Essentials Blend, with $2 from every bag sold going directly to Refuge Ranch throughout 2026. The yearlong commitment means every purchase will help fund programs and services that support individuals and families served by the organization.

“We don’t take our community partnerships lightly. When we select a Give-a-Hoot partner, we’re looking for an organization whose work creates lasting impact — and Refuge Ranch does that on many levels,” said Faith Valenti, co-owner Smart Owl Coffee.

“Without a brick-and-mortar café where we can gather with our community in person, giving is one of the most meaningful ways that we can root ourselves in and give back to Springfield.”

The Give a Hoot Program is Smart Owl Coffee’s annual initiative dedicated to making a meaningful local impact through intentional partnerships. By tying product sales directly to nonprofit support, the business aims to create sustained giving rather than one-time donations. 

Refuge Ranch exists to empower at-risk youth, women, and families with love, hope, healing, and transformation through Christ-centered mentoring, equine-assisted activities, and community support. Their programs foster authentic relationships and provide a nurturing environment where individuals facing trauma and life challenges can grow, heal, and thrive.
