What inspired you to launch your business?
I fell in love with terrarium making. My coworkers started buying them, and that was all it took.
How does it make you feel when someone purchases from your business?
I love it. I put so much love into each terrarium. It gives me so much joy to see them smile and choose a terrarium that speaks to them.
Which Illinois Local business do you like to support?
Teal Owl Boutique, Rescued & Reclaimed, and I am sure there are more. I do as much shopping locally as I can.
What do you deem as success in business?
A good balance of profit and happiness. I once was a vice president of a multi-million-dollar global company. We made a lot of money, and I was miserable. This little business we have now is so different. My husband and I work together, and we enjoy what we do. That makes it successful in my eyes.
What is your number one piece of advice for business owners?
If you start hating what you do, change your plan.
How can your community continue to support your business?
So many people continue to purchase our products and attend our classes —it's humbling. The best thing the community can do is follow, like, and share on social media.
