The Storyteller Studios snags three 2021 Silver Communicator Awards for its work on the Springfield Ballet Company’s 2020 documentary fundraiser, “Through Clara’s Eyes”

The Storyteller Studios has received three 2021 Silver Communicator Awards for Distinction, for Through Clara’s Eyes: The Legacy of Springfield Ballet Company.

The Communicator Awards, presented by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts, is a leading international awards program that recognizes excellence in communication across industries, championing effective and meaningful work.

“It is an honor to see "Through Clara's Eye's" recognized in this way, and it is incredibly rewarding to be able to continue furthering the mission of the Springfield Ballet Company with a newfound excitement for the documentary,” said Chris. “We hope this story resonates with viewers and informs them of the importance of the arts, not only here in Springfield, but across the country, and the impact the arts can have on shaping the future for young lives.”

In addition, The Storyteller Studios’ newest team member and producer, Kevin Christensen, has been awarded the 2021 Communicator Award for Excellence in Corporate Image/Brand Film for his video on the restoration of President Lincoln’s Receiving Vault at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois, for the engineering firm, Fehr Graham. The Storyteller Studios Production Assistant, Payton McCabe, who assisted on the project, is also listed.

“It is extremely rewarding to see Fehr Graham’s story of the restoration work to President Abraham Lincoln’s receiving vault, being recognized by The Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts. Fehr Graham’s dedication in conserving this historic monument shines a light into a little-known part of our beloved president’s history,” said Kevin. “I would like to thank production assistant Payton McCabe, and executive producer Josh Hester, whose committed teamwork made this video possible.”

The Award for Distinction is presented for projects that exceed industry standards in quality and achievement. Award of Excellence winners are also showcased in the interactive winners' gallery, available at communicatorawards.com.

Josh launched the business in 2013, which has previously received several Communicator Awards, and, last year, a Mid-America Emmy for the video “Face To Face," with Chris, at the helm.

“We don't do what we do for awards, but this kind of national recognition from our peers in the industry does serve as validation that we are accomplishing our mission of connecting people,” said Josh. “That's the most important thing. I am very proud of our entire team for their commitment to high production values and to serving our clients' stories so well. We are grateful to our clients for trusting us to do this work with them every day. It might be a cliche, but it truly is a privilege for us.”

Springfield Ballet Company artistic director, Julie Ratz, said, “We are incredibly proud of the documentary and honored that The Storyteller Studios is recognized for its outstanding work.”
