The veteran-owned and operated business, located in Springfield, Illinois, creates handcrafted solid wood furniture from sustainably sourced lumber. Maggie is the new Marketing Coordinator and Office Manager. She is a recent graduate of SIU Edwardsville, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication.

Jude rejoins the team as a Craftsman. Jude is a lifelong Springfield resident and previously worked for Sangamon Reclaimed in 2019.

President and Founder, Brian Frieze, said, “I have been looking for the right people to continue to help us grow our team and the brand here at Sangamon Reclaimed. Jude is a talented craftsman that brings energy to the woodshop and takes great pride in everything he builds. Having Maggie on board allows us to better communicate with our clients and respond to the ever-growing number of inquiries via social media, the website, by phone, or in person. We have been extremely fortunate to not only remain steady over the past few months but also to continue to grow and build our team for the future.”

Jude said he is passionate about creating heirloom pieces for future generations. “I love watching the transformation of old lumber or a raw cut of wood as we shape it into something beautiful and functional. Knowing that some of the pieces we build could quite possibly be around long after I leave this earth is a cool feeling.” Jude enjoys the outdoors, especially motorcycle-touring, camping, hiking, and biking.

As well as marketing Sangamon Reclaimed, Maggie is responsible for the day-to-day running of the showroom. “Interacting with people is something I have always loved. I am such a people person, so having the opportunity to talk with our clients is what I enjoy most.” Maggie is also passionate about being part of a small independent business. “People pour their hearts and souls into their local businesses. Small businesses make positive impacts on their community.”

Sangamon Reclaimed is the recipient of several awards, including the Local First Springfield Emerging & Energized Award and the Springfield Business Journal Fifteen Under 15 Award. Brian received the Springfield Business Journal 40 under 40 award and a National Woodworking Industry award.
