The Storyteller Studios Nominated for Three Mid-America Regional Emmy® Awards
Springfield, IL — The Storyteller Studios has received nominations for three Mid-America Regional Emmy® Awards.
The award-winning video production company, based in Springfield, Illinois, is not only being recognized with three nominations but is also expanding its services locally demonstrating a continued commitment to the community.
The nominations are for the following productions:
Kind, Brave, Strong – SYPG – Photography/Cinematography
The Legacy of Julius Rosenwald – Informational/Instructional (Long Form)
Out The Mud: Brian Beals & The Mud Theatre Project – Branded Content (Short Form)
Josh Hester, executive producer at The Storyteller Studios, said not all media awards carry the same weight.
“The Regional Emmys really are set apart. Work is judged by our peers in the industry in other markets around the country using rigorous criteria. The best of the best is put forward through nomination, and we are delighted to be included—not just for one, but for three awards.”
Taryn Grant, founder and executive director of Springfield Youth Performance Group, said: “The Storyteller Studios team—along with the dancers, their families, instructors, and our community—did a fantastic job of capturing the talent and passion at Springfield Youth Performance Group. Our collective effort is honored to be featured in a production nominated for a Mid-America Emmy. We are so proud of everyone involved in this shared accomplishment.”
Sarah Watson, CEO of Looking for Lincoln, commented: "Looking for Lincoln was honored to partner with Lincoln Presidential Foundation to produce this Emmy-nominated project. By working together, we can bring high-quality stories to life, highlighting our area's rich history."
Erin Carlson Mast, CEO of the Lincoln Presidential Foundation, added: “Rosenwald’s story illustrates how lasting change requires generations of leaders building on one another’s work. Producing this film with Looking for Lincoln and Storyteller Studios was a unique opportunity to bring greater visibility to a lesser-known story within Lincoln Home National Historic Site.”
Lauren Kaeseberg, Legal Director of the Innocence Project (Illinois), said: “When we describe what our clients go through as innocent people in prison, we often say it’s “unimaginable.” Storyteller Studios has found ways to tell the stories of our clients in such compelling ways that it allows viewers an opportunity to really see and feel from the perspective of our clients — or in other words, helps us all imagine the unimaginable. Our partnership with S.S. has provided a critical way for us to share the work we do with the world, and as a result they are helping us change the system.”
The Mid-America Emmy® Awards are a division of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS), setting the gold standard and celebrating innovation and integrity across all visual media.
The 2025 Mid-America Regional Emmy® Awards will be announced at a ceremony on October 25 in St. Louis, Missouri.
