What inspired you to launch your business?
I wanted a career that would improve the quality of life for my family and those around me. As a State Farm agency owner, I can invest in my team to help them reach their full potential. This results in greater career success for them, which in turn translates into exceptional service to our customers. I enjoy owning a business in which I, my staff, our customers, and our community all mutually benefit from its growth.
How does it make you feel when someone purchases from your business?
I am thrilled anytime that we can sign up a new customer. We will provide them with an insurance experience that goes beyond what they have experienced in the past.
Which Illinois Local business do you like to support?
I love supporting several Illinois Local businesses. To name a few, I get my chiropractic needs from AlignLife of Springfield, frequently grab coffee or lunch from Cafe Moxo, and have worked with Compass for Kids to help raise money for their organization.
What do you deem as success in business?
Business success is excelling in three categories: Business growth, Employee happiness, and Customer Experience. If any one of those three categories is poor or lacking, then a business is not truly successful.
What is your number one piece of advice for business owners?
Control the controllable. As business owners, we are faced with chaos seemingly all the time. It can feel overwhelming or even paralyzing at times. Try to attack each problem individually and act on what you can control. Even when there isn't a clear answer, start by acting. The path forward is rarely visible until you start walking.
How can your community continue to support your business?
Our community can support us in many ways. There are seemingly endless insurance options, most of which are not local. If you are with a 1-800 company or with an agency far away, we'd love a chance to review your insurance plan to see if our local office would be a better fit. We also greatly appreciate employment referrals. We are always looking to add rockstars to our team so that we can continue to provide the best possible experience to our customers.
