Illinois Local is proud to support America’s 7th annual #SBDCDay

SBDCs across the country will celebrate #SBDCDAY on Wednesday, March 15.

We are proud to join a list of 50+ ambassador organizations to mark the success of small businesses in the US and the positive impact of SBDCs.

Illinois SBDC for Central Illinois Hosted by Growth Corp Director Kevin Lust, a member of Illinois Local and our 2022 annual conference and awards keynote, said, “Although #SBDCDay is an opportunity to reflect on and call attention to the impact SBDCs have on growing small businesses across the country, at our office, we like to do that by calling attention to some of the local businesses we have worked with over the years.”

“We welcome the chance to spotlight our success stories. Whether they are brewers or biscuit makers, wood workers or wineries, each of their stories includes a chapter on how the SBDC helped their business.”

According to the most recent Chrisman Survey, which collected data from SBDC clients in 2020-2021, Nationwide SBDCs helped generate; 85,094 jobs, $10.1 billion in sales growth; $7.7 billion in capital investments; and started 14,487 new businesses.

“Many of our members have worked with Kevin through the Illinois SBDC for Central Illinois to establish and grow their businesses. We see the positive impact the SBDC makes on the longevity of small independent businesses across the state,” said Illinois Local co-founder Chris Long.

Watch the Illinois SBDC for Central Illinois Facebook page and Instagram and listen to Sports Radio 1450 on Wednesday to hear from fellow entrepreneurs and small business owners.
